Sky's the Limit!

Hi! I'm excited to show you my card today because I used 3 different Miss Kate Cuttables files and also created a treeline border. How cool is that?

Here are the files I used from Miss Kate Cuttables:

MKC Airplane

MKC Tree With Swing

Nested Scallop Circle
Here's my card using these files:

I LOVE the cartoon look of this airplane!

In my Silhouette software, I took 3 tree tops from the Tree with Swing file and overlapped them, then selected them all and clicked on WELD. This made it all one piece. I cut it out a little wider than my card so I could just trim it to fit. Voila! Easy Peasy!

Pattern Papers: BoBunny Double Dots & Echo Park Rough & Tumble (Royal Castle Shoppe)
Foam Squares for dimension of plane & button added with twine (Royal Castle Shoppe)
K. Andrews stamps for sentiment (out of business)
Some ink shading here and there with various colors

Thanks for stopping by today! :) Janis

A2 Card Organization: All Occasion Cards (Series 5 of 5)

Happy Hump Day!

Today is my fifth and last post in a series of A2 Card Organization. Today I am showing you my last of Themed Boxes to organize and store your A2 size cards. This idea was inspired by my friend, Tanya, of Nonna's Craft Corner. See her post HERE.

I'm using Lori Whitlock's cut file purchased from the Silhouette Online Store Design ID #43509. It comes with the box shape cuts, the paper cuts to decorate the box and tab dividers. (Tab dividers not used today.)

Today's organizer box is for All Occasion Cards.

I used a Ladybug Cut from My Scrap Chick's "Lady Bug Belly Box Trio" and a sentiment banner from the Silhouette Online Store #26473. The mouth was stamped with Peachy Keen Stamps PK-490 (only linked the smile on this stamp). Eyelashes and eyebrows were hand drawn. Edges inked with various colors. White gel pen used for doodling here and there. Cardz TV Stamps "Going Buggy" for sentiment.

These boxes have been so fun to make! I hope you've enjoyed seeing them as much as I've enjoyed making them and showing them to you.

Piles of Smiles Tag!

Happy Thursday! I hope you are having a fantastic week. We are getting back in the routine of things after being on vacation last week with all our kids and their families. What a blast we had! I was going to post some vacation photos, but decided you probably just want to see what I crafted for today's post, huh? (Maybe I'll sneak some vacation photos at the end of this post.) OH! The puppies had their routine vet visit on Monday. They are doing great and both weigh 19 pounds now. WOW! They are solid. More good news from the vet - Mary Ann has outgrown her heart murmur. Yeah!

I created 3 tags today and will post one for today, one tomorrow, and one for Saturday. I think they all turned out pretty darn cute.

  • I also used the knife tool to cut off a small portion of the bottom of the tag in the Silhouette software to cut out with pattern paper and layer on top of the tag.

Isn't it darling? I just love it!

Thanks for stopping by today. If you want to see vacation photos, they are below. If not, that's cool too. See you tomorrow!

Okay, here are some pics from the family beach vacation. We had more people with us than the photos I'm showing, but this gives you a good idea. It was a GREAT vacation!

The day we left we were driving through ice and it was snowing.... but once we got to the beach.. gorgeous. Okay the cold wind wasn't fun, but it was sunny, and it was the BEACH!

Believe it or not, that is the moon over the ocean. It was so bright!

Tom did a great job running the Myrtle Beach Half Marathon! Run, Tom, Run!!

The day we got back home, all the snow and ice was gone, and the weather outside was perfect for sitting outside and letting the sun kiss our faces.

Hugs! :) Janis
